Management of Root Diseases on Golf Courses

Tuesday, March 28

1:00 p.m. EST

Root diseases are the predominate issues facing golf course superintendents especially on golf course putting greens. Sixty-eight percent of the samples received at NC State University in a 10-year period were diagnosed with various root diseases. The diseases include take-all root rot, summer patch, Pythium root rot, spring dead spot, fairy ring and nematodes to name a few. Managing these diseases can be challenging due to many factors that Jim Kerns, Ph.D., will cover in this 60-minute webinar. He’ll discuss the latest and greatest information on spring dead spot, fairy ring, summer patch and take-all root rot. Kerns will review controls for diseases that affect both bermudagrass and creeping bentgrass.
