Steve McDonald will discuss both cultural and chemical practices and timing to maintain weed free and aesthetically pleasing fine fescue high grass areas on golf courses. Mowing timing and techniques will be outlined. Grassy and broadleaf weed biology and identification will be outlined. Pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide options for troublesome weeds will be discussed. Fine fescue establishment using the proper timing, seed selection and herbicide technologies will wrap up the last section of this 60-minute webinar.
