PBI-Gordon Introduces Pedigree Fungicide SC

The new fungicide controls brown patch, fairy ring, and leaf and sheath spot, and other turf diseases.

 |

New Pedigree Fungicide SC from PBI-Gordon Corporation is specifically formulated to provide excellent disease control on golf courses, residential and commercial properties, and sports fields. Marketed through a partnership with Nichino America, Pedigree features a proprietary formulation and the active ingredient flutolanil. It will be available for sale in 2019.

A flowable suspension concentrate, Pedigree has shown safe and consistent performance on creeping bentgrass, Kentucky bluegrass, annual bluegrass, annual and perennial ryegrass, red fescue, tall fescue, Bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, and St. Augustine grass.

Other features of Pedigree include:

  • In addition to brown patch, fairy ring, and leaf and sheath spot, the fungicide can also be used to treat many other turf diseases, such as large patch, red thread, pink patch, yellow patch, southern blight, and gray snow mold.
  • Applied as a preventative treatment, the unique mode of action in Pedigree helps stop several stages in the disease life-cycle, including spore germination.
  • Protection can be expected over a period of 7 to 28 days depending on the level of disease pressure.
